Continuing our Meet the Team series, get to know Cristal Coffee, Senior Enterprise Account Executive at Zignal Labs.

1. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Chicago, but traded the Windy City for the sunny beaches of Malibu to attend Pepperdine University. I’ve become accustomed to the great weather in Southern California and don’t see myself ever leaving.

2. What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I’ve always been very creative and planned to work at an ad agency as a copywriter.

3. What was your first job?
When I was 16-years-old, I worked as a salesperson in the Juniors department at Nordstrom. The sign on the employee entrance read, “Through these doors walk the most courteous people in the world,” and I must say this is something I’ve always carried with me. I believe that delivering impeccable customer service is a must for any business.

4. What do you do at Zignal?
I’m a Senior Enterprise Account Executive, helping companies surface valuable insights across the entire media spectrum in order to build and protect their brands in an increasingly complex world.

5. What do you love about working at Zignal?
I love that we’re always innovating to provide our clients with an even more robust solution to help solve their unique challenges. I also really love the people I work with. They’re not only super smart, but they’re fun! I feel very lucky to work in such a warm and collaborative environment, especially since I work remotely.

6. Describe yourself in three words.
Determined, optimistic and funny.

7. What are you passionate about outside of work?
I absolutely love to travel! Some of my favorite places in the world are London, Italy and Bali. I think my next big trip will be to Thailand, but I’d also love to explore Bora Bora.

8. Who inspires you?
My two-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, is my biggest source of inspiration these days. It’s so much fun to see the world through her eyes because everything is still so new to her. I don’t always remember to stop and look at all the little things around us, but she constantly reminds me to slow down and soak it all in.

9. What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?
It’s a tossup between “Get comfortable being uncomfortable” and “Take the leap and the net will appear.” Sometimes we need to step outside our comfort zones and just have faith.

10. What’s your secret talent?
I’m a pretty good actress. I booked my first professional role as a guest star on a TV show called “Missing Persons” when I was 14-years-old. I still do a few projects here and there.

11. Do you drink coffee?
My married last name is Coffee, so of course I drink it! I take my coffee with extra cream.

12. What’s the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
I would buy my dream house with a huge backyard and pool, plus one for my mom.
