Continuing our Meet the Team series, get to know Serina Kapoor, Demand Generation Specialist at Zignal Labs.

1. Where did you grow up?

I was born in Riverside, California, but grew up in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area.

2. What was your dream job when you were a kid?

For reasons still unknownst to myself and my family, I wanted to be a garbage collector when I grew up (because I wanted to drive the truck). 

3. What do you love about working at Zignal?

One of the things I love about Zignal is its people. It’s a blessing to be part of a team that has such hard-working, ambitious and talented people that are willing to do anything and everything to help both you and the company succeed.

4. If you could do any other job at Zignal for one day, which job would you want to do?

I would love to be on the Customer Value team for a day. It would be really interesting to hear directly from our customers about how Zignal is making an impact on their companies.

Innovative. Unique. Fast.

6. Describe yourself in three words.

Ambitious. Witty. Passionate. 

7.  Who inspires you?

My mom is the biggest inspiration in my life. She has overcome so much, making her one of the strongest people I know. I aspire to be like her one day. 

8. What’s your favorite quote?

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” – Socrates

9. What’s the one thing you can’t live without?

French fries.

10. What book/movie/podcast/TV show are you reading/watching/listening to right now? 

Since I take the train into the city every day, I try to switch up what I read/listen to. Right now, I have a bit of an obsession with Crime Junkie, which is a true-crime podcast. It’s crazy to hear the kinds of things that happen outside of the bubble in which you live. 

11. What’s your coffee/tea order?

Grande Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks.

12. What’s your favorite breakfast cereal?

I would have to say Frosted Flakes – they’re GRREEAATT!

13. What’s your favorite place in the world?

So far, my favorite place in the world is Bali, Indonesia. I’ve never been surrounded by people that are so effortlessly happy and calm; it really puts things into perspective.  

14. Do you have any pets?

I have a toy poodle named Bibby. He is named after the basketball player Mike Bibby, back when he used to beast it up on the Sacramento Kings. 

15. What’s the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

I would most definitely buy a share of the Golden State Warriors!
